Rules
All races will be governed by the 2013-2016 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the Prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association except where altered by this notice and the Sailing Instructions. Sailing Instructions will be available at registration.
Eligibility & Classes
Current GYA PHRF or X-PHRF ratings are required for PHRF Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker classes. A boat without a valid Portsmouth Rating (see below) with an X-PHRF certificate may race in a PHRF class.
A vaild Portsmouth Rating, listed at US Sailing, is required for centerboard and daggerboard vessels.
Classes may be combined depending on registration at the skippers meeting<./li>
Inviting junior sailors to race is highly encouraged.

Racing
The racing area is the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Multiple races will be attempted, with no race finishing after dark.
Scoring
The Low-Point scoring system of Appendix A will apply.
Prizes
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be awarded for each class with four boats or greater. The Bastille Day trophy will be awarded to the winning boat of the largest class.
Registration & Fees
Registration should be made online at the NOYC Website, but maybe made in person on the day of the race.
The entry fee is $30.00, or $25.00 with a valid US Sailing membership. Payment maybe made by credit card, cash, club charge, etc. at the bar prior to the skipper's meeting.
