I'd look at an Omega in addition to a Roley. Mine keeps time very well, it is fairly light compared to a Rolex and not everyone has one. Plus, there are several chrono models and you can find them on ebay in abundance I am sure.

A Rolex has much higher resale value and will last longer than you will (if that matters to you) but it is kind of like the Hummer. At first they were kind of cool but now every chump who makes over $40k flaunts one. Just personal preference, I guess.
