I am a former sailing buddy of Bill's from Ohio. We (his former crew) have been trying to reach him both via email and phone.
Today, I spoke with the Media Relations Dept. of his company. They informed me that the last contact that they had with him was yesterday (weds) at 4pm. He was fine and in the Condo. They also reported that he was aiding rescuers by running rescue boats.

Here, we joked about Bill seeing a reason to get out on the water. We also joked about how tough it is to get Bill to drop out of a race. I am sure he will hold tough here as well.
