OK, so when did Blanco declare a State of Emergency? Do you know it to be other than what is posted on the State website? Or are you just trying obfiscate the facts with unfounded slurs, insinuations, and outright lies. Your tactic is right out of the Carl Rove playbook. Disparage the facts, defame the messenger.

Fact: Blanco declared a State of Emergency on Aug 26. I know, I watched it happen on TV, on Aug 26.

Fact: The following was published in the Washington Post on Sept 6 - "A senior Bush official went so far as to assert that Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco still had not declared a state of emergency as of Saturday (Sep 3) -- a charge so inaccurate that The Post was forced to run a correction." i.e. He lied.

As to the "liberal media and moveon.org" slur, I voted for George Bush for president. But unlike you, I can admit a failure when I see it. I'm sure that if your family had suffered for days at the convention center, you wouldn't be so proud of FEMA's performance. Remember, these suffering people weren't just those too stupid to leave. They included people without the means to leave (too poor), the sick, elderly and infirm, and even stranded tourists (that's white people, you know) who were holed up in hotels.
