I have been told any houses with standing water for a number of days is NOT salvagable. It will be condemned and leveled. You have to consider the contaminants in the water - feces, rotting flesh, chemicals, etc. Much of this is absorbed into the wood.

The other problem is toxic mold. Mold only needs a couple of days to get started.
