I was not able to get into the marina area without a pass. Guards were posted at the footbridge. No pass, no entry.

They were allowing cars to cross the 17th St canal bridge along the levee to West Roadway, than to the lakefront. You must travel along the lakefront to the Lakefront Arena to secure a pass. You will need your license and car registration. It was easy to obtain once you got to the table after a 10 minute wait. They are also issuing permits for businesses to enter Orleans parish there as well. They said the pass was good for 72 hours. There were also several checkpoints along the way. All of the guards and MPs were very cordial and accommodating.

They have also open the flood gate at Coconut Beach. You can drive into the marina area at your own risk. There is still alot debris on the roads. Some parts of the road are not passable.
