The GYA Executive Committee cancelled the Lipton's due to the number of clubs that lost thier Scots and the number of GYA sailors that are displaced or simply too preoccupied with recovery efforts to consider doing it.

What I need from as many of the clubs as possible is whether you would be willing and able to sail.

I loaned my copy of the GYA Bylaws to Katrina and she hasn't returned them yet, so I will need some help as to what exactly I need to do within the boundaries of the bylaws to get the Liptons sailed.

The event has been sailed every year, through World Wars and Camille. I don't want to see it skipped.

I may have to poll the entire Board of Directors (all of the club commodores) to see this through, so, if you can, send me all of your commodore's email address and or phone number. I need to get started on this immediately. If you will be attending the GYA Fish Class Championships tommorrow, bring a copy of the GYA Directory so I can get as many of the commodore contacts in my address book.
