You may recall that during the summer there were a series of posts regarding the Dragon that won the Gold medal representing the US in the Olympics in 1968.

At that time the boat was in northern California and was in a bad way. It may interest you to know that the boat is now in southern California and has been hauled, awaiting restoration. I am in contact with the present owner and he has some questions. Does anyone remember the sail #? I had it but can't find it. Any other information out there? Year built? I think that it was a Danish built Borresen hull (like my boat). I also know that it was one of the first couple of boats to be fitted with Harken blocks. Anything else?

I would appreciate anything anyone can tell me. The owner is very interested in the history of his boat, and unfortunately the class here in the States has not kept records as well as it might have.
