I will relay this information to the owner in California.

The man who owns the boat also owns two other wooden boats, and is a member of the well known Wooden Hull Yacht Club. Kind of a showcase club for woodies in southern California. He doesn't know that much about Dragons (as of yet), but his comment to me was 'the boat was just too beautiful to let die'.

The owner has promised to keep me updated on the restoration and I will pass along anything that may interest you folks.
