Hey stupid. Your brain is showing. Why don't we just rate everyone so they always win? They do it for the kids in Special Olympics.

To address your post that people be rated instead of boats, the above MOM and POP would never strive to be better or learn how to trim because you have them winning on personal handicaps. MOM and POP would actually think they are better sailors than DC and brag at the club bar.

Anyone that expects to win without any effort and sacrifice or taking the trouble learn from others is a LOSER and will always be a loser.

I would LOVE to have an opportunity to race head for head against a talented person like Dennis Conner in the same PHRF rated boat or OD. Think of the chance to learn and good you would feel when you DID pick the right shift and actually beat someone that talented.

The problem is more attitude that PHRF rating. Over time a talented sailor with a good attitude will beat a wanna-be with a 3 second better rating.
