Not having been a true One Design sailor before I use to come to the aid of PHRF sailors with the age old "can't we all just get along" theory. I would also tell the braggadocios OD sailors to back the fudge off when they were trashing the IDIOT PHRF sailors

My how the worm has turned.....First off, Y'all all know me...easy going well mannered get along kind of guy...well all that changed when some Idiot PHRF guy (get ready this is good) who was racing a one design boat in PHRF (see told you it was good) but doing it with the normal intelligence, care and compassion for his fellow racers that PHRF guys usually have....you know obeying rules like

Now before we get to the rules I just want to make it clear we aren't going to mention any names here (STANTON) as to protect the guilty PHRF guy who shall remain anonymous (STANTON) because there is nothing personal and we would hate to embarrass the offending party (STANTON)

Back to the rules used by PHRF guys....

Rule 1.0 ...when a person hollers starboard don't change course just holler PORT...and continue on

Rule 2.0 ...When informed "you are in a starting area and I am starting"...(that would be why all those horns and flags were being used) and "you are blocking me from the starting area"...don't try to get out the way...just start admitting to your lack of knowledge of the situation and profusely apologize while continuing on till you are so close that when you finally do turn (which could have been done earlier) your stern rakes across the boat that not only is on starboard but in it's starting sequence and is shot head to wind by your stern...

Rule 2.1a ...after infringing and nearly sinking the smaller OD boat...don't actually try leaving the starting area...just fall of to the next nearest competitor that is starting and try blocking him...all the time watching the initial guy and as soon as he is going try getting in his way again or if that isn't possible proclaim I am in Irons so none of this is my fault while finally sitting head to wind and making the last three starters maneuver around you...

Rule 2.1b ...unless you want to be protested you must after screwing up everyone’s start try later to bribe said people with adult libations ...food...monetary sums or nights out with a lady's of ill repute...

So you see after only three weeks of being a true One Design sailor I have learned to hate those PHRF guys...if only they knew how to sail...or handle a boat...or know why they call it a starting area...know what flags to look for when approaching the RC boat to ensure they aren't gona be proved to be good PHRF guys and screw things up...

A clue as apposed to a clew for PHRF guys there is a difference....if you aren't the only boat on the lake the other guy probably has the right of way....especially if it's a Finn

Again no personal attacks here and not trying to point out dumb moves by people who shall go unmentioned...(STANTON) just finally understand it's not the size of the boat...it's if your a WANKSTA or not...
