Hey Dave,
First of all you'll did a get Job on the regatta. Love the Generators just like the logging days after the storm. Light air regattas are the hardest ones to run. You can't keep every one happy. About that race in Question:(1) you should have pulled the cord on it when you saw that there was no wind at the start of the 22 class. They were still on the line at the F/S start. (2) when you noticed that the beat was a reach and there was no way possible to change the leeward due to the place windard mark (Sea Wall). (3) When the all the F/S were within 50 yards of the line when the 5 min gun went off and half of them were 2 min late for the start.
Dave I am not bitching you asked for feedback. NOYC did a great job. back at the dock I did not hear any biching about it so it was no big deal. and you have nothing to sweat about. Since I started running races at GYC I told my self that I will not bitch at the RC's any more because sometimes it is hard to do the right thing. I was told from many good PRO's that if it is not a "Test of Skill" which the race was not. KILL IT! NO one will get mad. Thanks Dave and the rest Of NOYC for running a great Regatta.
My 5 cents...
Sam
