Yes, top half in that fleet is tough for a weekend warrior, my one time in 03 we finished two places out of top half, I was bummed, but it was probably the greatest regatta I've ever been to. Fourteen gold stars, countless medals and world championships, etc. We beat 8 of the gold stars in at least one race, sailed smart most of the time, best finish was a 29th out of 112 (undoubtedly the most boats I have ever beaten in a race), lacked about 50 pounds from max weight in an old boat (you might know it Mickey...) but had an absolute blast. Plan to go again for my 50th birthday tour in a couple of years, have told my wife not to expect to see much of me that spring....
