Re: Water in Harbor Safe?

As one who was in the water for hours trying to move boats and get some lanes of travel so the boats that were operable could get in and out....all I can do is report...I have no ill effects ...my spelling still sucks and sometimes my inability to stomach BS is tender...But those were there before... and the third arm and leg are truly useful.

Sailing on it and the occasional dunk from a flip is not the problem....it ain't the water quality it's the crap still in the water...

As it seems our city state and feds have other criteria for what makes a city a home...like lining their pockets with our tax money ...

Making sure your child is supervised and someone around to be able to help should they sail like some of the Wednesday night bunch and unable to avoid masts, shrouds, poles and all sorts of other above and just below the surface obstacles is the key....if they sail in the main basin across from SYC or the main waterways between NOYC and the East and West piers all should be well as we removed most of the stuff from there as people would bump into it...other places like between the finger piers are a different story...

Have fun and let people know when you plan to sail…as other may want to come sail there with your child ...always safety in numbers...
