I tried not to respond because my posts some times are misunderstood and I get in trouble and other times they are perfectly understood and yep in trouble again...add to that I seem to have alienated most members from the same club this gentleman comes from…so you see the risk I take here….but I think this topic should be chewed on some then flung against a wall to see what sticks...

First a quandary....Why boats under so many feet...I guess the duffass that thought that out has never been hit by a 42 footers carbon fiber boom at full swing...and correct me if I am wrong but ain't it easier to get in my 24 foot Irwin or my 14’ 11” Finn then my 26 foot S2 or the afore mentioned 42 footer...so why pick on the little guys and their little boats.

I have a theory...I bet you would never have guessed...

Little guys...have little boats...I mean most little, as in wallet or non influential, guys cause if you have influence that usually leads to bigger dollar circle of friends and lets face it what big rich anal opening wants an orange PFD over his blue blazer hell it won't even match his white captains hat....what about covering that boob job he got for wife number 2 the trophy wife.

But that’s where it starts. Me on my little Finn can't buy the law off and hell I got no friends and neither does that guy with the little 16 foot fishing boat...well he's got friends they are just always borrowing money from him cause he is the rich guy with the boat on his block...but these poor shmucks can't fight city hall or rather the National Guard ( I was gona call them national lampoons or national goofs but then everyone would tout what a good group of dumb asses I mean guys they are...) anyway, we, us, they, the little guys can't mount an offensive…damn we can’t even mount a defense against stupid laws like this...

It's one of those laws you always hear the liberals spout (sorry honey) that is always followed up by and I quote "if it saves one life it's worth it" in that case we need life preservers in cars cause damn near every car that goes off of a bridge has a drowned person in it...no it's true ask any Kennedy they will vouch for that statistic...and what about tubs people drown in them too...remember “if it saves one life it's worth it” from now on wear a PFD or take showers...any vehicle (I am willing to bet real dollars here) that crosses water has had a drowning. using the adage of "IISOLIWI" we should wear vest any time we travel and it’s over water...hell you could make the case in New Orleans we need to wear them all the time...hint...U.S. corp of ass I mean engineers …ring any bells... large leak several places...helloooo, life jackets for everyone below water level….cause "IISOLIWI"

The answer...hell y'all tell me...I always thought you were supposed to think for yourself...I can see people under age cause they may have stupid parents...but once you are of age...it should be up to you...I have no problem with them mandating you have equipment in case you need it...that is just common sense to have it on board...but when to wear it...it should be up to the individual...it would also help improve the genetic pool as the dumb ones get ...shall we say removed from the procreation roles....

My last point as to why not allow laws that make it mandatory to wear life jackets...Bay watch babes covered in class III life vest...another...the girl riding on a nice hot cigarette boat...my god is there a reason to live if they make these babes wear life vests over there string bikinis…..I think not. So that’s my view what about y’all…
