It's always a mystery to me why this event is not scheduled for the weekend after Mardi Gras. Wouldn't it be great to deal with measurement on Ash Wednesday, then race Thursday, Friday, and Saturday? Everyone could drive home on Sunday.

Does that just make too much sense?
