I too thought it should be closer to Mardi Gras, BUT having seen this class up close and personal, lets just say if we had a hundred entries for the regatta we might get ten boats on th ewater ...and thats if we mixed crews with what was available...firs there are those that woudl still be in the quarters having a party...then there would be those in central lockup add to that the ones that couldn't wake up casue they jutys passed out at 10:00 AM and then the ones that woke up but went back to bed cause the hangovers so bad....And lets not forget those that woke up soemplace they had no idea how to get here from there cause they don't knwo where "there" is...so you see it is best just to leave it where it is....
