Tom Beery paid ORRez to have all the boats in the GYA PHRF data base (474 boats) run through their VPP program. That’s how the ORA1 certificates that we recently received were generated. Some (approximately 90) of those 474 boats already had ORRez certificates. Most were from Lake P where ORRez has been used since 2019 in some handicap races. So, most boats that ORRez rated for Tom Beery did not already have the complete certificates.

Those complete certificates have about 80 ratings per boat over several wind speeds and courses. The races are scored by a program that has all those ratings for each boat embedded in it.

Remember your PHRF certificate had lots of dimensions of your sails and hull. Those were the dimensions that you submitted to get your first PHRF rating. ORREz used those data to compute the ORA1 certificates.
