Fair enough, and I completely agree. This year, however, I think the CCup RC did a fine job with ORR-Ez. I can't really complain about any of their calls. At first, they called the distance race out to the sea buoy a W-L, but they tho't better of that and called it Random Leg, which I think was correct. Two of the races were right on the line between Light and Medium wind, but that's the nature of 4-wind ratings, so I can't complain.

Last year, GYC had a couple of notable problems which I'll chalk up to a learning experience for everyone. To wit, we've taken steps to address those going forward. To assist RCs, we developed a "Course Picker" document, which solves 99% of those issues. And we hope to expand the use of PCS, which eliminates the need to pick the wind altogether - a tremendous improvement!
