PHRF is wonderful for Beer Can racing but should never be used for serious competition. Double Barf Barf. ORRez is wonderful for nothing but throwing your check book at trophies and can be manipulated by windspeed and course selection. I have already seen down wind races scored as random and light air races scored as medium. Not a fan of RC selecting a course and wind speed then the scorer changing it so helps his boat. I don't care what you use have fun. Instead of bashing PHRF with your flyer which produces very similar results to ORRez about 85 to 90% of the time, just go and use your ORRez. Nobody is stopping you. All handicap racing sucks and just muddies the water compared to One Design. Wanker rating system sailors are afraid of OD and that is a fact. In defense of Wanksta PHRF though, PHRF is the best rating system that ever existed. PHRF outlasted IOR, MORC, IMS and every other rating system ever designed. If PHRF is just for beer can racing why did it send IOR, MORC, IMS and every other Church Of What's Happening Now Rating System to the grave yard. PHRF FOR EVAH. LONG LIVE PHRF.
