Nobody wants to argue on the internet. Based on sign up looks like the same old local Sunday racers. My suggestion is to waive the entry fee for the first 6 out of state boats that register. That does not cost LPRC anything. Just larger classes. Then we should provide $100 gas cards to the first 6 out of town boats that show up. That would only cost LPRC $600 and possibly grow the racing fleet by 30% and even attract more local competition. Just think if two Tripp 26s, two Melges 24s and two big non spin boats showed up from FL, AL or MS. It is time for LPRC to market this regatta regionally and get creative. It is not to late.
