Since it is a learning scenario, the situation was thus: the J92 left enough room for girl, who was fast and overtaking, to get by the RC boat. There was a few seconds of opportunity for the 92 to shut the door, but it would have been a hard turn. In retrospect, that would have been better, as girl could have gone below Jrex and not spent two minutes luffing above them. If you are luffing Girl, you are losing.
After both boats passed the RC, Jrex was stand-on. I told him he couldn’t bring us up (not true) and he snapped. After that, we heckled him for a while, which was not necessarily “nice” or “Corinthian”, but honestly… dude seems a bit high strung, and we were having fun. Then we sailed below him and beat everyone on corrected, save for Cool J, who was LAUNCHED.
