Capdevielle 2023 &-or 24 Scheduling

Instead of Mardi Gras at NOYC to Mobile followed by Panama City over to Fort Walton back to Mobile over to Gulfport Over to Pass over to sport boat champs back to Viper GC champs etc blah blah blah I propose the following:

Do a request for proposal to host 3 different seasonal series at only 3 locations

Capedevielle Spring Series
boats left in same place for 6 weeks and race every other weekend. Example: Split first serries between MYC & BUC YC

Capedevielle Summer Series (anywhere but Mobile due to Kelp Lilly Salad Pads)
Leave boats in same place for 5-6 weeks and race every other weekend Maybe PCola one year FWYC one year and St Andrews another

Capedevielle Fall Series hosted by Lipton host
Leave boats in same place for 5-6 weeks and race every other weekend with last weekend Liptons. Definitely move Liptons off of Labor Day

-Eliminates some of the logistical headaches
-Less damage to keel boxes from trailering
-Boats rigged already, get there later and leave earlier
-Juniors and club races more likely to participate with boats already rigged and positioned
-Close clubs could team up on hosting, storing and RC work
-Be creative and flexible (example with GYA Opening being at SYC this coming year, maybe have spring in NOLA with Sugarbowl, Mardi Gras & Opening as the Spring series in NOLA)

***not sure if 5-6 weeks boat storage at some clubs would be a deal killer

The long traditions , have gotten stale and don't seem to be helping the participation numbers.
