For the very WEST of West End...Old Fitzgerald Restaurant area which has the lake frontage actually in Jefferson Parish, Jen JP Council Woman, Orleans Council Person and LA State Rep all have to be on the same page. Also, everything but parking has to be raised 17-20 feet per FEMA. At this point, it does seem that they are not opposed to working together for the WEST West End, just no sense of urgency on development. The JP Council Woman did mention at a recent meeting that a mixed developement that blended residential and commercial may make sense. I did paraphrase there. Nothing in stone, maybe restaurant bars and condos. Again, nothing appeared to be on the table and no sense of urgency.
