I have also wondered if there is an untapped potential for a cruising fleet on the Lake. The Pensacola Bay Cruiser Fleet has been growing their ranks with pursuit races. They have an assortment of fixed marks and pre-set courses that they announce shortly before the races, depending on the weather. It takes a cheerleader and a bit of social media (I think they're using WhatsApp to communicate amongst their group). They publish the start times electronically before each race and I don't think they necessarily even have a RC. I.e., the pursuit start is on the honor system and the finish order is self-explanatory.

I'm not the guy to do it, but I think there is potential here.
