What are everyones thoughts on implementing a minimum wind speed of 5 knots to start a race for GYA Capdevielle and Championship Regattas such as Liptons, Jr. Liptons, and Knost? I feel the consensus among sailors is for fair races in sailable conditions, but too often we see race committees forcing a race in far less than ideal conditions for the sake of getting a "race" off. The Lipton reschedule a few years back at BWYC due to poor conditions resulted in good racing in what would have otherwise been a wash of a regatta.
