We wanted to update you all about some unexpected news regarding our dear friend, Steve Sintes who suffered a life impacting heart attack Saturday evening.

Steve holds a special place in all of our hearts. We encourage everyone to keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

After making the decision to put Steve in comfort care another group came in and talked with the family about donating his organs. He can save 7 people lives by donating his organs. So, Stevie and Jessica decided that is what Steve would have wanted to do.

So, he is still on life support until all of the organ recipients are matched and identified. It will be either tomorrow or Wednesday and can be between 8 AM and 8 PM. They will give us a 3-hour window to let the family know when the procedure will take place.

With that being said, as the procedure takes place they do a ceremonial walk and flag raising honoring Steve as an organ donor. They would like anyone who could make it including NOFJC members to join them at the ceremony. Oschner main campus in Jefferson will give a 3-hour window for everyone to get there. If you go Stevie asked that you wear purple. We will send a message when the confirmed date and time is known.
