THE ORGANIZING AUTHORITY: New Orleans Yacht Club New Orleans, Louisiana

RULES: The race will be sailed under the management of the NOYC Race Committee and will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of US Sailing, and the 2024 New Orleans Yacht Club Sailing Instructions https://noyc.org/gensi except as modified by this Notice of Race (NOR), and or changes to the Sailing Instructions.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all boats with a valid GYA PHRF rating;
Spinnaker Class: Boats shall sail with female skipper and 50% of the crew (including the skipper) shall be female.
Non-Spinnaker Class: Boats shall sail with female skipper and 50% of the crew (including the skipper) shall be female.

REGISTRATION: Registration available online at https://noyc.org/regatta/Ly3Ugy8uif registration will be open until the start of the competitors’ meeting.

RACES: Two races will be attempted; 1 race constitutes a regatta.

SCHEDULE:
Saturday September 7, 2024
0830 Competitors’ Meeting at NOYC
0955 Warning signal for first race – Additional race to follow
Fleur de Lis Awards at NOYC after last race

FEES: $40 for PHRF boats.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Sailing Instructions will be available on the NOYC.org event notice board.

SCORING: The “Low Point Scoring System” of Appendix A of the RRS will apply.

PRIZES: The winner of the Spinnaker Class will receive the Fleur de Lis Spinnaker perpetual trophy. The winner of the Non-spinnaker class will be awarded the Fleur de Lis Non-Spinnaker perpetual trophy. Prizes for first to third will be awarded for both classes.

SAFETY: It is each competitor’s exclusive and individual responsibility to decide whether or not to race. See Rule 3, Decision to Race.
